We stayed in the new building and the room was fantastic - large, very comfortable. Lovely mattresses, linens, complimentary fresh berries and prosecco on arrival.

I initially booked a deluxe room but it smelled like damp mildew (it was also slightly smaller than I expected). I then upgraded to a suite and the staff were nice enough to do that at a discount. This second room (the suite) was fantastic. Excellent furnishings, nice view of the piazza, and fantastic bathroom. The staff all around were very helpful and made us feel at home. They brought a gift of a panettone by a famous pastry chef as well. The spa is one of the best I've seen and is built on top of an old Roman bath and medieval ruins which are incorporated into it. The restaurant is also exceptional. It is a true luxury hotel in the old style.

Location was great. Second room/jr suite we had was very comfortable and the double shower was fantastic. Workout room was very nice for a hotel.

Reception staff were very accommodating. housekeeping were great. Room service was delicious! The silence and quiet of the room. It's actually a gorgeous hotel with a convenient location. Not my first stay.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and it is one of my favorites. This is the first time I have been there since they have added an annex, however, and the decor is different from the original hotel. I was upgraded to a junior suite, which I appreciated. It was beautiful, and the bed was excellent, as were the linens. All on all, this remains one of my favorite hotels. It is beautiful, wonderfully located, and the staff is superb. The housekeeping staff was unusually good. I will certainly stay here once again when I return to Firenze.

The decor of the hotel is exceptional. Our room was beautiful. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the facilities and amenities were top notch. Oh, and if you are for whatever reason hesitant to do the spa, at least try the Roman Baths, fantastic. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

This is a wonderful hotel in the center of Florence. The staff are friendly from the housekeepers to front desk staff to bell hops. There is 24 hour a day front desk staff. There are two choices for dining and a spa within the hotel. The lobby is large and seating areas comfortable, where you can take a coffee or a cocktail. Nightly turn down service was very nice.
